C) Why you chose the different pieces.

Good Riddance, Hanging By a Moment because it brings back a lot of memories from friends. 

Live Like You're Dying because its a song that describes the time you have and what you're going to do with it.

The Graduation Song for the parts thats were part of my graduation and my eighth grade year at Holy Family School.

And the rest of the songs because I like the songs.
4.Describe how you went about finding your information, pictures, and songs:

A) What kinds of search terms/phrases did you use? (Give some examples.)

I would look up "average costs of 1995", "life generator", etc.B) What search engine(s) do you use most often?

I like to use Google Chrome.C) Did you find any unreliable websites or sources?

Yes, there are always unreliable sources.

5. What different kinds of technology did you use to compile your project? [Web tools, Mac tools, etc...]

I used iMovie, Zamzar to convert music and videos, Microsoft Powerpoint to put it all together.

6. What are you good at...what went well for you in this project?

The editing, and decorating. I like to make things more appealing to the eye and festive.

7. With what did you struggle on this project...what was difficult for you?

Putting the music together on Garage band, cutting and trimming the music.

A few.
B) Why or why not?  [If not, how did you convey your information?]

So I could fit the text in and you could see the information easily.
C) Did you use a consistent theme throughout your movie?

Yes, I used the theme on the iMovie of the Scrapbook.
D) Why or why not?

It was given, and it made it look better.

9. Describe how you used video in your project.

M friends, Narria and Mary, made a video for me and we added it in a part where i had to trim the music so it would fit perfectly.

10. For what other classes, situations, uses could this type of project be adapted?

Any class really. It can be used to present information about a book in Literature, how cells work in Biology, and prejects about jobs and what they have to offer.

11. How did your project use the transformative property of borrowed images, music, and information to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976? [...not just that you cited the information - citing is not enough...tell me how you transformed what you've taken into something new, etc.,How did you transform the music, information, images, etc.?

I changed the music by ducking it so you could hear the video, make it louder or minimizing the sound. For the Information, For the images, I could change the hue to it in the iMovie settings that allowed me to do so.

12. Would you do another project like this on your own? Why? Why not?

Yes, I would like to make one for family occasions so there are things to remember and I could always looks back at the memories.

music genome

In the music genome, I learned many things. I learned how to add music into iMovie and how to trim it so it would fit into the time that I wanted it to be. I also learned new information about the classical Disney songs as well as other music genres by watching some of the other projects that people have done. I learned how to insert transitions between the photos. I also learned how to convert files from Youtube into something that i could put into the iMovie project. I found out how to export the project so I can share with other people.

iMovie storyboard

In this project, I learned how to use iMovie. I used the clip adjustment and time adjustment tools. I learned how to export the photos from the powerpoint onto imovie using the screenshot tool and dragging the photos into the movie. I learned how to add music to the movie and edit the length of the videos and interviews. I used the Ken Burns affects. I found out how to put the transitions into the slides as well. I learned how to crop the music so it would end when the interview started. I also used the enhanced features  to make the photos a different shade.

Podcast Review

1.  What tools and techniques did you use to create your podcast?
I used the tool to take screen shots. I learned how to use GarageBand. I used the jingles tools and the sounds to edit my voice recording and the volume level. I used IPhoto to upload the photos so it was easy to drag and drop the pictures into the podcast.

2.  How could you use a project like this in other classes?
I could use this in a Literature class to describe a book like the way I presented the movie I used for this tech apps project. This would be way more interesting than the unoriginal PowerPoint or poster.

3.  In the “real world”, how could podcast projects be used (In what careers/businesses, etc.)?
This could be useful for people that have new ideas to propose for their companies. It would be well thought out and organized so that the people that are watching this could understand it easily and it would be less questions for the person presenting.

4.  What part of the assignment was easy for you?   What was difficult?
The easy part of the assignment was adding items into the podcast. It was easy to do the citations but it was very time consuming. The difficult part was editing parts out that you didn't want and recording the summary. If you were to mess up, you had to redo it or edit it. Sometimes I would talk to fast or ran out of breath. 

5.  What part of the directions would you like to clarify?
The part of the directions that could have been more clear was to elaborate more on the instructions. How to send the podcast via iChat and how to export so it wouldn't be so much of a hassle when it comes time to collect the projects.

PND Soccer group project

This was the first time I have used PowerPoint and Keynote with the new MacBooks. I have found these very easy to use and display much information which anyone could put together quickly and easily. This was also the first group project in Tech Apps. We had to learn how to communicate and edit these all together. Therefore, we used Google documents to share the document with each other so we could all edit it. I also learned how to convert documents, such as a song or movie, to use in a slide show. It was s new and interesting project.

iPhoto slideshow review

This was a very fun and interesting project for me. I enjoyed sharing some things that I like to do and things about me to other people. I like using the iphoto application. Everybody uses it and applying it to a project makes it and entertaining and enjoyable thing to do. I learned how to make a slideshow from iphoto after all that was the point of this project. I learned how to change the transitions and slides. I applied my music from itunes into the slide. I learned how to pace the music so it fits the whole song. I used the some tools such as cropping and the red eye tool.
